986S v 987 (2.7)

Was intending to go look at a 986S this weekend at a dealer on the other side of Scotland to me but they've now accepted a deposit on it. A porsche specialist a little nearer to home Who I was asking about doing inspections has suggested a 987 with low mileage but "only" a 2.7. Obviously slightly less bhp but what other differences would I find. Guess weight is similar so not quite as swift off the line should I hillclimb it but what about brakes, suspension etc. Is the "S" the one to have and maybe the most "valuable" in years to come?

I have just today has this conversation of 986s vs 987

I looked at both and decided to get the 986s.

The 40bhp difference I don’t think is noticeable driving normally.
The 987 obviously looks more modern and I hope the S will become more of a classic and keep its value.
