New Spyder Allocations?

Seems to be a few GT4s starting to trickle through again. Wondered what Peoples OPCs are saying regarding Spyder production/allocation as it all seems very quiet?

I'm not 100% certain, but I think the Spyder is built on a separate assembly line to the GT4 and may have to compete with 992 production

That would actually make a lot of sense towards helping explain lack of availability

Sypders are built at Stuttgart in the main factory alongside Boxsters, 992s, GT4s etc. There's a separate Cayman plant at Osnabruck which produces the regualr Caymans plus the GT4 too.

So there are two places you can get a GT4 built but only one for the Spyder so I agree that will naturally mean fewer are available.

I was speaking to “my” OPC earlier this week on an unrelated subject and it was stated that they are very doubtful of obtaining any Spyder allocation this year. Apparently they have only had two since I picked mine up last June and both were PDK

Same with my OPC, really would like a Spyder and happy to trade my Shark GT4 but just can’t see it happening though.

Just had a call that my Spyder allocation has come through - will be a 2023 car. Been a long wait and had pretty much given up hope to be honest, so amazing news. Plan to head in to spec it next week - have done already about 1,000 times online so will be strange to do for real.

Will see if I can get an update when I head in next week. My guess is they don’t know. I’d previously been told I was next in line out of I think 6 spyder deposits and I understand they have had only this one allocation to date this year.

My dealer told me today they got two allocations . I am next 👍

As of 4 weeks ago I was told I’m next on the list so I’m hoping for some good news if it sounds like a few more slots have been released!

My London based dealer got one allocation this round and I am now second on the list...

My OPC have said they have been told they will not be getting any more GT4 or Spyder allocations.

So today I spent the morning at Silverstone driving the car… and I get home to an email with the news of a build slot in Q3!!


Hoping it can be a pts slot now!

Thats a good spec. Apart from , imo , the yellow stitch. Go for silver stitch i would say.
Yellow looks out of place to my eyes.

Went in today to lock in my spec - mine is showing as vehicle completion in early September and with UK dealership in early October. As expected no info from Porsche on further allocations or how long production will continue, but also no confirmation that production is ending. So advice seems to be, if you have a deposit down, to keep waiting and hope it comes through.
