986 Steering wheel adjustment.
Discussion
Only option on 986 is an after market momo type wheel. Usually these are smaller in diameter so give a tiny bit more room between knees to the rim. You can also add an Eccentic spacer which will raise the wheel another 10mm and gives you loads of leg room. But bear in mind if buying a momo wheel that the Eccentic spacer also adds 10mm to the depth of the adapter too so if you get a deep dish type wheel the gap between the rim of the wheel and the indicators can get pretty big. So you have to reach for the controls. Hopefully that makes sense?

Thank you, car was set up for the owner and I didn't want to adjust anything but the wheel felt high in comparison to what I prefer. Could lift the seat as that was adjustable but then CoG is raised. Was interested in the yellow 986S that came up in the PH ads but it sold, have a feeling it was a good 'un.
Ha ha, I wasn't but I'm shrinking as I get old.....
May have just been jumping from a long drive out in my Lotus Excel to the 986. The owner was probably an inch or two shorter than me, maybe he just had the seat low.
(Anyone remember the day when you bought a little chrome bracket to lower the steering column of your mini or Imp? .Showing my age now)
