Bought some mesh of amazon to cover the front grills up to save from any stones doing any damage to the rads behind
there was enough to do the sides aswell
So gave that ago
Not to bad for twelve quid for the lot lol
Probably been done 100s of times but just thought I'd post

Im just about to purchase a set of Zunsport grilles, I’m definitely having second thoughts now.

Has there been a recall on the 981? I know there has been on the 718.

I had the Zunsport ones on my Cayman S with GTS bumper, finished it off nicely as the GTS bumper was far too open. Never got round to doing the sides though.

OP looks a good job that!

The fronts just clip off then once you cut the grill to size you can thread the mesh though and cable tie it on then clip the bits back on
There's a few good guides on YouTube and i

Rear ones just sit in place

It's simple to do took a couple of hours and quite enjoyable

Interesting. I thought would be bumper off job on my GTS. Which mesh did you purchase out of interest?

I just made some for my 981 S, having had the condensers replaced. Mine is slightly older than the OPs and the fins are not removable. Made a cardboard template which took a while, but then very easy to get the mesh correct. Can just slide on from the front so no need to remove bumper!

Used AUTOSTYLE TG1256Z race mesh from amazon (they do two different size holes, I went with the smaller) along with some tin snips and 3 cable ties each side. Looks neat enough…

Yep I had to fit mine with the bumper off on the GTS, just did it recently. On the S it's much easier.
