Has anyone seen / heard any information on the facelift for the MY23 Cayman and Boxster? Should be along in the next few weeks as I was told I cant order the current car (non RS) at the moment.

My guesses would be touch pad centre console rather than buttons, revised bumpers and a light bar at the back. Any other ideas on what changes there might be?

Not sure there are going to be any significant changes for the next model year.

718 has already been out six years with probably no more than three years production left, at most. There are long waiting lists currently so there seems little incentive to spend significant money on an ageing platform.

An updated interior would be nice, along with a revised PCM, but I think it would have already happened if it was going to happen at all. I'm not aware of any scoop/testing pictures, there are already some kicking about for the 992 facelift.

I could be completely wrong of course and a facelift gets announced tomorrow!

I dont think there will be any , the reason you cant order is because they arent being made at the moment

There 100% is because I've seen the release dates and have an appointment with my OPC to order one. Maybe its something simple like interior change like the Macan had and some colour changes.

Interesting, but I cant see it. A few things might come as standard like Climate control, but in all honesty like others have said I cannot see anything significant.

I'd be happy with no changes, I live in the Alps now and a touch center console wouldnt be ideal as I couldnt press it with gloves on in winter for example. The UK gets standard kit we dont get in Europe too, things like carplay, navigation and park assist. Would be good to get those included but a shame if they change paint options, I wanted Shark Blue.

I went to order last week and was told I have to wait until May as the MY23 configurator will be released late April.

This would be interesting if a facelift is in the works….

I’ve currently got a deposit down on a GT4 and at the minute the outlook of this turning into an allocation are pretty poor based on all the rumours of ending production.

Although, if there is a mild facelift (Similar to the Macan) to see the 718 lineup through to the EV generation then maybe all the rumours of ending production are just for the current model.

Hopefully this is the case at it means I’ll get my hands on a facelift 718 GT4!!

Although…. I then would be confused as to why they would launch the GT4 RS on a platform that was imminently changing!?

The RS models are usually the last of the line and come just as the next model arrives. See 991.2 GT3RS and 992 911s...

Production has halted temporarily due to the parts shortages tied to the conflict in Ukraine.

Order books are full and it’s not clear when production of the 718 will end but its due very soon as Porsche are planning to refit the factory ready for the 718 EV. That and added pressure from vehicle regulations are making it harder and harder to justify.

All combined it’s a very uncertain time and therefore very unlikely that there will be any changes to the 718 (which is an ageing platform). As with previous model years it’s possible some small tweaks will be made to the configurator and a price hike will be introduced.

I own a 22 model year GT4 and have just placed an order for another. Though this is not guaranteed and all depends on when and how long the 718 production returns.
