When starting up my Spyder today ..... " Suspension system fault . Drive with caution " notification . This after 2/3 weeks of non driving .

Only 2,546 m and after a recent First Service ( Oil & Filter ) .

I know I am still under Warranty ... but what's this all about ..... Suspension Failure ?

Any thoughts . Thanks

Hi S. Your Welsh friend here. Sorry to hear of your problem. Suspect PASM switching issue. Have you tried switching to sport? I am having electrical gremlins with Macan. Keep getting warnings about rear lights not working - when they ARE working / weird ! Spyder going well so far though. 3200 miles now !

Hi J. No did not try switching to PASM …. Must be a software problem . When one of the top mounts went on the GTS there was a different warning sign if I can remember .

I may have to visit the OPC again to fix . Unless it resolves naturally . I am coming down to Devon after Easter so i may have to ‘ Drive with caution ‘ until this gets fixed .

Cheers SBD

Probably a simple sensor anomaly, like a variable outside a threshold - possibly related to sitting idle.

Will need a code reader for more clues.

Unlikely to clear on it's own - will need code reading and resetting most likely.

Good luck smile

I know it is only 2/3 weeks but some cars (any modern car) can go into a strop if the battery voltage drops and may do all sorts of weird things.

I would drive it for an hour, make sure the stop/start is working, restart it later and see if it does the same.

Thanks for all the advice Chaps ! I will try all the tricks suggested . Never used the Stop/Start … always switch this off before moving out . Have noticed that the Spyder has a ‘ Battery Protection Mode ‘ which my previous GTS did not . This always showed when I switched on after about 3/ 4 weeks and after about 5/6 weeks . Battery has never let me down ( yet ) .

The reason I suggested using it was not to save the planet, if the battery is below par the car will not allow Stop/Start to work, it will only work when the battery is fully charged.
