What seats will fit a 981 GT4?
Discussion
So I've had my GT4 for 3 weeks now and covered about 700 local miles over the bumpy roads around my way. Love the car but the seats and suspension combo are making my mid-back hurt. I don't get this in my other equally (if not more) firmly setup car with even less padding in the seats. However something about this 918 buckets it's doing my back in. I've tried putting some extra foam in places buts its made no difference. I have ordered some Renntechnik brackets to tilt the seat back and see if that helps.
So it seems my only options are if the brackets don't work:
a) Sell the car and get one with comfort seats
b) Put some comfort seats in
I don't really want to do a) as I'm going to loose a chunk of money and this one took ages to find, so I'm considering b).
I presume both Caymen/Boxster 981 standard seats will fit, but I'm wondering if the 991 2 ways will fit? I had these in my last 991.2 S and I loved them.
Do you know if I will have issues though with the ECU around airbags/ or the connectors?
My biggest concern would be invalidating the warranty really, but given they are Porsche seats going in and the claim was not about the seats would they really decline it?
Any thoughts welcome.
cheers

Depending on your build the older p3 folding buckets may suit you better. These were a cheaper ££ option than the newer p11 in the GT4 and standard fit in the 981 Spyder.
Whereas your p11 buckets suit wider at the hips and narrower at the shoulders the older p3 buckets are the opposite. Also they are slightly more reclined BUT have no height adjustment unlike your current buckets so you sit slightly lower. They can be heated too.
They aren't cheap ££ but worth a thought.

Were your 991 seats the standard sports or sports plus.
Yes I had the standard sports I believe (are the plus the 18-way ones?). mr pg said:
You wouldn't lose money if you kept the 918's and re-fitted them when selling.
Yes thats what I'm considering - thanks for clarifying :-) Anyone know about the connections/ECU?

Are those p3 the ones fitted to the 991.2 GT3 ? If so, I definitely get on with those much better, but as of yet haven't done a very long journey in them (friends car). However I'm planning to use the GT4 as my daily car (not that I commute anywhere, and have others cars for the family run) so I think the comforts would be spot on for me on the roads around here given I had them in the 991.Whereas your p11 buckets suit wider at the hips and narrower at the shoulders the older p3 buckets are the opposite.
