Mostly I see paddles behind the steering wheel, but on the odd few I see on autotrader some have the buttons on the steering wheel

Is it up on the right and down on the left for paddles and button?

Sport Design wheel is an optional cost upgrade and this has the paddles along with other features if Sport Chrono fitted. It looks better so it naturally costs more even though you don't get all the functionality of the lesser MFSW

Had my button steering wheel swapped out for the sport with paddles on my 991. Lost the multi function bit on the wheel but TBH the lever that replaces them is nicer to use (had this on earlier cars) and the only thing I miss is radio vol. Expensive but the new setup looks nicer and is waaaay better to use.

Buttons were awful. I think they were replaced across the board so paddles are standard on the 718s.

Not an issue if you drive a manual however. smile

I believe that is the case for paddles but not the buttons where each button shifts up and down.

Yes buttons pull or push to do + and - . My only criticism of the .1 paddles is the throw is long than I’d like.

Thanks all
Are they steering wheel mounted the paddles or are they fixed on the column bit like that Nissan GTR?

I suspect the thinking behind the buttons on the wheel was to have less clutter behind the wheel with all the stalks there, but I prefer the paddles.

Easy enough swap if you find the right car with the wrong steering wheel though, as I did.
