Hi,
I have an 08 Cayman 2.7 PDK c70k miles with full history and today I can hear, louder from the vent on the rear off-side - a regular high pitched ticking noise. I wonder if anyone here has had the same ?

Does it go after a good enthusiastic drive? Speed/rev sensitive?

Mine is a bit 'ticky' is it's not used for a while and the hydraulic lifters need a good workout, but I wouldn't desdcribe it as high-pitched.

It'll most likely just be the injectors that you are hearing (assuming that you are only hearing it at idle). Nothing to worry about.

I've had it over 4 years and it is my daily and very frequently driven enthusiastically ... ahem ...

Its been problem free and dare I say bullet proof, until this, but I had done a couple of very short journeys from cold so what you say does make sense. Thank you.
