Hi all
For the past 6 years I have insured my 987 Boxster Spyder with Lockton. Never had to claim but happy to pay the extra for guaranteed value and I hope no agg in the event of a claim.
However 987 has now gone and new GT4 expected in March.
On checking insurance quotes Lockton is way more than high street quotes so will likely look elsewhere which is a shame but they’re way off the mark.
Wanted to ask who has got a 718 GT4 and where do you insure outside Lockton ?

Insured my GT4 with Classic Line and they were very competitive. They do a "future classic" policy which includes some conditions and mileage limit etc. but sensible premiums and great service. I had reason to claim a couple of years ago and the service was faultless which is why you buy insurance in the first place.

Just had my renewal from NFU, been with them 4yrs and its gone up by 37% plus I must now fit a tracker and I live in a very low risk postcode area! Time to start ringing around!!
Too right, thats taking the Mickley as most car insurance quotes are down. They must of had a big claim for a GT4 on their books
I'm picking up a new 718 GT4 in the next 10 days, just going through the usual circus with insurance quotes.
As NCB can only be applied to one car, Aviva wanted an additional 360 to add the GT4 to my existing Macan policy but only until it's renewal date in Sept.
Admiral wanted 600 for both starting today, NCB assigned to the Macan but flipping it around on the forms with the NCB tagged onto the GT4 and zero NCB against the Macan the policy for both cars is only £340 (this is 12 months on the GT4 and the Macan automatically joins the policy from Sept when it's policy existing expires). Makes no sense to me, but I'm buying it.

I’m getting @ few quotes that mandate a Tracker.
I don’t recall this being on the configurator but I think Porsche used to offer it (Vodafone?). Anyone know what the situation is with a factory install these days ?
Any recommendations for third party Trackers/costs as I’ve never had one before ?

Classic Line include 5 trackdays IIRC but only UK circuits.
Unlimited Car Club(eg PCGB) organised track days plus 6 other track days and only £50/day over the first six. Most insurance companies have really tightened up on track cover in the last few months when I shopped around a week or so ago.WG said:
It is standard on all current Porsches you just need to ask for it to be activated - and pay Vodafone £250 per year.
Just got a quote for my GT4 and LV are asking for a tracker system from me. Might just have to stump up for the porsche tracker. Asked if the apple tag will suffice but they said that it is not good enough. Gassing Station | Boxster/Cayman | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
