Cayman 981 Options & Prices
Discussion
Wondering if anyone can help - I’m due to collect a nice spec 2013 981 Cayman S this weekend and I’ve been pulling together some history documentation to add to what comes with the car.
It has the attached factory options fitted, plus the Extended Leather package, does anyone have the original prices for these options?
If anyone has a PDF or their invoice showing some of these prices that would be really useful….
From some searching I’ve found a few of them but I’m missing loads!
This is what I have so far:
£2131 PDK
£1375 Sport Chrono
£1530 PSE
£2141 PCM Nav
£918 BOSE
£534 PCM Telephone

Hi from one Lotus owner to another!
Assuming condition and history are broadly equal, from a resale perspective, the higher spec car will probably be worth the same or more than the newer car - depending on the actual spec (and mileage of course). Some options are no doubt way more desirable than others, I’ll leave the 981 meisters to comment on that…

I have an S2 Elise (KSeries- same engine in my MG Midget) and a 2.7 981 Cay, and a Golf GTi mk 7.5 for daily.
I don't give a tuppenny toss for extras... it's all about the driving/feel for me, hence I have a 2.7 man no options for the lightweight/pure experience. I don't hanker after the extras.
For reference, a loaded Cay weighs around 135kg more than 2.7/man, which is already heavy at 1310kg.
My only mod to the Cay would be 10% less weight, not 10% (say) more power.
I guess I'm not a regular Porsche owner... 😁
I'd go for fewest owners, low miles, and newest in that order (assuming FSH and overall top condition).
I tend to keep my cars over long terms, and would only consider replacing the GTi with something newer.
