Floppy sun visor

Hi all,
Most annoying, and gradually getting worse, my drivers side sun visor flops down (about half way) and a sharp smack upwards sometimes cures it for the next few miles, but then it resumes its flopped position. Any cures short of complete, no doubt expensive, renewal ?

Car is an 07 plate Boxster 987

Apply some velcro tape to the visor to keep it up?

Could do, thanks, thought about blu tac so this is a better solution. Needs to be unobtrusive looking of course.

If it’s one of the brackets that has broken you can buy these for a few pounds - a bit tricky to fit the right way round but doable with a bit of patience.

Thanks for this, bracket looks ok, just not staying up, maybe need to ask the garage and bite the bullet. More annoying than anything else

Velcro'd it up, works a treat unless top is down. But sticky backed velcro did the job.
