GT4 configurator
Discussion
Just bored and browsing ahead of placing an order early next year (hopefully…) and notice PDK is now reduced to £2,000 (I’m sticking with manual) and PCCBs down to (a bargain) £5597, about £900 cheaper if I remember correctly.
HOWEVER they have now removed the black brake caliper option that I really wanted as red doesn’t suit my colour choices and black really blends them in well…..When order confirmed I’ll ask if they can still do them for me but does anyone know if that’s it, you have to go with the current configurator options ?

I have noticed in the past that the “home use” configurator doesn’t carry all the actual options whereas the one at the OPC does. I suspect you will find the black calipers will be available HOWEVER they have now removed the black brake caliper option that I really wanted as red doesn’t suit my colour choices and black really blends them in well…..When order confirmed I’ll ask if they can still do them for me but does anyone know if that’s it, you have to go with the current configurator options ?

PDK and PCCB’s have always been that price.
When they updated the configurator last week it appears to have removed a few options from view (park assist, black calipers, sport chrono etc), but they are still there if you load up any saved configurations. In the past if things were removed completely it would say when you tried to load up a saved configuration, so I think there’s a few bugs since the update. I’ve asked my dealer because I have to lock my spec in a few weeks time.
Each time I load the configurator I also get offered a weirdly specced red “special pre configuration” suggestion to choose from.

I’ve specified black callipers, car apparently due late feb and to be registered early March. I’ve not been told I need to change my spec, the sales guys did say the Porsche congratulation system does change when products become out of stock in the factory. Apparently they don’t make the centres aware, Porsche just removes them until they become available again.

Can you still order these I though porsche weren’t taking orders anymore.
There are still a few cars trickling through to OPCs and that appears to be continuing into 2022. Reading the various posts on here and elsewhere it appears that these few slots/cars are oversubscribed and as such it might be tricky to still get one. Chat to a few OPCs as I guess you never know and may just get lucky, especially if you have a decent relationship with one already? There is clearly an issue with the configurator on the GT4
If you continue with this suggested options the black calipers are an option along with sports Chrono but if you start from fresh those options are missing.
Anyone else having this?
I’ve tried various platforms but all doing the same
