Good morning all

It would be interesting to know how long people have been waiting to get an allocation after paying their deposit. To date, I have been waiting 5 months.

Think I'd have been chasing that up before now!

I waited just under six months. Deposit paid in early May, allocation came through at the start of this month.

I was at the top of the queue straight away but dealer received no GTS allocations for Q3 or Q4 this year and only mine for Q1 2022. Three others behind me in the queue.

I finalised my spec yesterday and was able to amend it from the last draft I submitted in June and I won't have to pay the increased base price. The same should apply to anyone who has a deposit down and that the dealer has submitted a Dealer Demand Request (or whatever it's called) onto the Porsche ordering system.

Not sure chasing would help I ordered a BGTS in Oct 20 , got allocation in early April 21 , car arrived late June 21 , Was in fairly constant contact with OPC but I don't think it made much difference if any , from reading other threads currently its even longer

I'm starting to see a few more on the roads, which is promising.

A white Boxster in Henley and dark blue Cayman in Watlington last week.

Deposit in June, at the time told Q1 2022. Nothing so far, but got the Porsche driving experience thing through so assume I’m getting closer. That’s for a Cayman.

Just paid my deposit on Saturday there and told probably Sept 22 for GTS PDK. Suits me as current PCP is up in Nov 22. This is at one of the biggest UK dealerships and was told as such they get more slots. In comparison another dealer quoted me Q3 2023 - 2 years! Apparently UK demand for Porsches has gone through the roof rising from around 16k to 29k.

Exactly the same for me, went to the PEC a few weeks ago.

No allocation yet.

I’m sure demand has gone up
I think they are increasingly affordable
I was in BMW on Monday ordering a new car for the wife and quite taken aback buy the prices
Eg a 430i at 49 k and X3 coming in at £65k
The macan is good value now as is the panamera compared to the 8 series
BMW are not offering significant discounts as before

She ordered a 118i by the way.

12 month minimum on new orders. I paid my deposit last week and so did a friend at a different dealer, looking at October/November delivery at the earliest for a Cayman GTS. Boxster GTS is 18 months wait....

Putting my deposit down for Cayman GTS 4.0 this coming Monday. Being told best case Q3 2022. Not too worried as currently have 981 GTS and it's the dogs. In fact not sure why I'm upgrading other than really fancy a brand new one, first owner etc. Will be selling my 981 next summer, hope values hold.

Hi

i placed my order for a Boxster GTS and paid a deposit in May this year. i was told to expect delivery Q4 21 or Q1 22; my dealer now says I may have to wait a further 12 months. He also says having just received notification of cars he has no Boxster or Cayman cars allocated for Q! 22, Is this happening all over UK?

This makes me bit sad in the sense that i placed a deposit for a Spyder in Jan 21, but have yet to have any invite to the PEC, and also no slot. I always thought the trigger point for being offered a day at Silverstone was when they'd secured a build slot!??

Put a deposit for a Spyder down end of July 2021, got my PEC invite on Friday...

Hmm, what's the latest info they've given you ref a build slot? My original estimate was most likely Q1 2022 based on their current rate at the time. I understand that build slots have been hugely impacted this year so i don't doubt my turn isn't anytime soon but things like this really do make me worry that they're not taking my order seriously!

I'll ask them about the PEC next time i'm in contact with them.

Think you need to lay the law down, are they just holding your deposit for obvious reasons?
Hope not.
