P Zeros which I bought my 718 GTS 4.0 with lasted 6 track sessions and it’s time for new tyres. Car is now 95% track used (or getting to/from it - I don’t have a trailer). I know I should have maybe bought a more
dedicated track car but that’s a subject for different discussion..

I’d like Cup2’s but they don’t come in the sizes I have at the moment. There’s a useful thread on rennlist, which comes down to this (I’m pasting):

Factory GTS 4.0 Sizes
F. 235/35-20
R. 265/35-20

Recommended:
F. 245/35-20
R. 295/30-20
And tyre choices are many: Michelin PS4S (300TW), Goodyear Eagle Supercar 3 (220TW), Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 (180TW), Dunlop Sport Maxx Race 2 (80TW), Hoosier R7 (40TW)

So they say put 245/35 front, 295/30 rear.

(1) have people done it
(2) any issues with tyres not fitting/touching brakes etc?
(3) steering issues (someone on that rennlist thread mentions possible understeer due to adding 30 width rear but 10 front?)

Thanks

Hi PX1980,

If you decide to go for 245/35. /. 295/30. I have a set of Dunlop Sport Maxx Race 2 on my 718 Spyder which I am looking to change for a set of MPS4S as the car will be mainly used for road use and through the winter. The Dunlops have covered 3800 miles and there is 4mm on all.
Open to offers, if I cannot sell then I will run them out but would prefer to change.

Thanks.

Geoff
