Anyone Know this GT4?
Discussion
Hi,
Going to look at this next week, its on an HF plate which means its a south coast origin rather than a northwest car.
Always wonder about the history on a car like this, sub 2k miles and 2 owners.....hopefully an innocent explanation.

Happy to take a PM rather than public comments, thanks for any help etc.
Best regards.

Looks like it's got all the extras I'd want. Nice colour too. Someone on here will get really excited about the essential leather steering column covering and another will hark on about the contrast stitching showing up as a reflection in the dials
Bucket seats not for everyone, look good but don't suit some people.
Not sure on price. I got a value for OPC to buy my 981GT4 today - £70k. They'll look to retail for £80k IF I decide to let it go. I don't know how they come up with that mark-up given my car is immaculate, excellent tyres and needs no prep work al all!

Thanks all for the comments - I’ve decided to hang fire for now as I’m not fully sure about a GT4 and the OPC view the test drive as a confirmation of the sale at which doesn’t work for me as I need to have a drive first (in my mind) to see if I’m sold on having one.
I fully respect their right to their process (as the car is in the middle of their showroom) and plan to get a drive in a mates 718 in the next coupla weeks.
Buckets are fine as I have a CR (5years and counting) and a 964 Cup which has SPGs which are probably my favourite all time seat.

From memory that car is an 'option 3' in a post I made a few weeks ago on here when discussing the current used 718 GT4 market. I have quoted below what I said in my post about how dealers are manipulating the market. Google cache shows that actual car for sale a month ago and has the images of it. What Porsche are very cunning at doing though is eliminating the full listing from being crawlable, so you can't see the dealer or number of owners. But I recall seeing it and it being circa £91k when it disappeared from the market.Going to look at this next week, its on an HF plate which means its a south coast origin rather than a northwest car.

My observations and conclusions of it (yes I am that much OCD when it comes to prices because for me this is a big spend I'm making)...
OPC's in general initially put the GT'4 on sale at a higher price, they then do one of the following:
1. Leave it at a price regardless if it sells or not i.e. Both these have been sat for sale for months and months at the same unchanged price
https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en_GB/718-Cayman-GT4...
https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en_GB/718-Cayman-GT4...
2. Slowly reduce the price over 2-3 weeks to a level that is 'bottom of market', then if it doesn't sell remove it from view for a week and then reintroduce again at the high price and start the reduction cycle again. An example of this is Sheffield Porsche who do this their cars. Both these were over £100k a few weeks ago and are now at the bottom of the cycle again, and both cars were in the same cycle the previous month:
https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en_GB/718-Cayman-GT4...
https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en_GB/718-Cayman-GT4...
3. Remove it from market (appearing to be sold) and a few weeks later it reappears (sometimes with another owner on the 'previous owners' number and at a slightly increased price):

The only other OPC cars that appear to be selling (that have not reappeared), are:
Crayon cars that are circa £90k (regardless of spec). In the past month 3 of these have appeared and disappear in a matter of 24/48hours.
Silver cars that are sub £90k (regardless of spec). 2 examples of these have appeared and disappeared on the OPC in the last week alone, both at £89k.
Everything else is either brand new to market or going through one of the cycles above. Then you start looking at non-OPC cars. These just sit unsold at OPC price levels, or get passed/sold between dealer to dealer with the price increasing each time. Both the red and white cars at Ashgood have been with them for a while, both Redline cars, both cars at Gravelwood. All the £100K+ speculatively priced PDK cars are unsold. There was one car that flew out (gone in 3 days) a months ago, which was the manual Black one at DMB and that can only be because it was decently priced at £91k.
There are exceptions to the rule, of course, but the only cars that appear to be selling are cars c£90k which are in a conservative colour combo and/or crayon cars.
