Cayman GT4 2020 Spec Vs 2021
Discussion
Hello,
i'm in the process of looking for a Cayman GT4. I have seen a number of cars but some have been registered in early march 2020 and others in early 2021. Can anyone tell me if there have been any changes at all.
Also a car that is 18 months old vs one that is 7-8 months old seem to be the same price with the same miles? Any advise would be very much appreciated as i'm worried about buying a 18 month old car for top money even though the spec is what i'm after.

Only minor changes across model years e.g. paint colour options differ slightly I think.
The biggest change was the switch to generic Race-Tex from genuine Alcantara, and I've heard that Race-Tex isn't as plush/soft.
I would choose based on mileage and spec not model years, but the younger car should be slightly more expensive all other things equal.

What happened to the batch of early 2021 cars and the engine issues. Did they get repaired or a new engine. Maybe avoid those chassis numbers ?

Why avoid? Porsche are rectifying the issues AND giving 6y warranty on the cars involved https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.caranddriver.co...
Price is determined by the mileage and extras on these cars and not the age so 18 months v 7-8 months is only applicable if looking at two cars exactly the same.
If an older car had the extras I wanted then that's the one I'd buy. It's still under 3yrs manufacturers warranty with the cost option to extend at the 3yr point so there's little risk against a newer car.
