My 2005 987 2.7 needs new pads and discs. Just wondered what thoughts were as to best choice currently? Car just gets road use, no track days.

I've seen some Brembo units on Design 911, are these worth a slight premium or am I paying for a name?

The £20 Textar (who I think are the OEM) pads on ebay are fine. Likewise for discs, stick with Pagid or Brembo and you'll be fine.

I have used Textar pads/Pagid discs on the road and track and they are fine.

I wouldn't personally buy stuff like this from Design911 as they will be charging you a huge premium for the same product you are buying from ebay. If you are averse to ebay, just a local motorfactor will be able to get you the discs and pads needed.

Sebro discs. Textar pads. Textar are OE suppliers, and I suspect Sebro are too. Speak to these guys, cheap as chips :

ATE discs are OE I think.

Textar pads as mentioned.

I don't rate Brembo discs for what it's worth! ATE much better IMO.

I've had issues with both Brembo and Ate. Though to be fair, I've had less issues with Ate. I've only used the Sebros once, but they were perfect.

Euro Carparts do a sale towards the end of the month. I always thought the stock setup was Brembo. To be honest with ATE, Textar, Jurid or Pagid I don't think you would go wrong. If you wanted to enhance the braking system then I would look at AP Racing...
