First couple of issues with the Cayman 987.2
Discussion
Hi guys,
A couple of issues have arisen on the Cayman, nothing major it seems but wanted some advice/guidance.
Driving down to glorious Goodwood FOS on Friday and I notice about ten minutes in that the SatNav is not updating/moving. The car is certainly moving and the location to what was displayed on the screen. Very odd. Some cursory reading it might either be zero satellite connection (which I doubt) or the fact that I had the windscreen replaced recently and it seems the bloke might not have reconnected or disconnected the connector that is under the windscreen.
Secondly, TPM monitors simply will not reset and always warn me I am 0.2 - 0.6 bar lower than required. Reset the system, clears, then when I pull up and stop, turn off the engine, warning again. Again cursory reading has highlighted it might be the batteries in the TPM units which have a ten-year shelf life and the car is ....ten years old. (NB - check the tyre regularly and they are not leaking or underinflated....)
Any advice would be welcomed!

You could try rebooting the sat nav as per the link below. Free and can’t do @ny harm

There is an Ariel connection on the rhs under the scuttle and too th3 right of the battery. Might be disconnect.

My 987.1 Boxster arrived with the satnav thinking it was in the sea off Cornwall! Check the connectors near the pollen filter first. I ended up replacing the antenna with a generic one from ebay, works a treat!

That's not it. The GPS module is fixed to the underside of the wiper cowl. The blue connector is on that.
Thanks will have another look! But Autowindscreens are coming out as it has stopped after the change, hopefully, they can resolve. The other issue of the TPM seems to be resolved via over-inflating the tyres a couple of 0.1 bars as per OPC Burgess Hill advice.
Will report back on the GPS post tomorrow visit from window man.
