Pre Purchase Inspection Sussex/Hampshire border
Discussion
Hi all,
I would appreciate some recommendations please regarding a Porsche pre-purchase inspection on the Sussex/Hampshire border not far from Guildford.
It’s for a 2008 Cayman, which I’ll be viewing tomorrow. If it ticks the boxes, I'd like to try and arrange a PPI the following week. The car is currently in a prestige car dealership (which appears to have a good reputation) but a comprehensive PPI would put my mind at rest. The owner of the establishment doesn’t allow cars to be taken off-site for inspection therefore it’s a mobile assessor I would need to find.
I have searched around the forum and I see that NineExcellence (based at Horley near Gatwick) are often recommended in these parts – however those were oldish threads so recent experiences would be helpful. I did try to contact NineExellence a few times but as yet I haven't been able to get hold of anybody.
Many thanks in advance.

Thank you mudpup - I messaged Nick Giles yesterday (I didn't find a website but found him on Facebook). Hopefully he'll come back to me.
I've found a pretty decent 2008 987.1 Cayman (test drove it this morning) and the seller has given me until next Friday to have it examined - after that it would be a case of biting the bullet and buying it, and immediately having a 'post sale inspection' done (resorting to my statutory rights if anything significant came up). Lovely car, drives very well, but I noted a couple of things which an inspection could iron out for me.

I want to get it inspected before purchase. The seller is happy for a mobile inspector to visit his premises, but won't allow the car to be taken away for inspection (which seems pretty common).
I'm concerned I may not be able to find a mobile inspector by the end of next week, which is how long the dealer will hold the car for me.
That leaves me with the option of walking away (which I don't really want to do, as this example fits my needs and there aren't that many of them around at the moment) or buying and then having an inspection done afterwards, and returning to the dealer if anything significant comes up. It will come with a warranty, although that won't cover larger issues or wear and tear items.

I am not sure if these guys cover the area you are after but they did a very thorough inspection Ona car for me a couple of years ago.

That's because I completely forgot - sorry about that.
I did my own inspection on the car and found a few points of concern, but wanted to know if I was being overly pessimistic. Nick Giles did do an inspection and phoned me, corroborating my findings. However I didn't get the written report I'd been promised as part of the service, and it seems more than a few others didn't either. He's a nice guy, but the service I paid for was incomplete.
I passed on that car and went with a higher spec newer one in the end.
