Ok soI am no expert. In my opinion and from my research it seems the rarest future boxster/cayman will be the first boxster spider with approximately 1900 produced?
No. The lowest is the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 SPORTS CUP EDITION with only 88 produced. Then the 987.2 Black Edition 500 produced
Then the 700 987.1 Cayman S Sports
Then the 777 987.1 Cayman Design Edition
In between all that, though I don't believe lower that the 88 Sports Cup, are limited Boxster runs...like the
500 Limited Edition Boxster and Boxster S: Orange Editions
2012 Porsche Boxster S Black Edition where 987 were made.
the 500 run of the 2008 PORSCHE BOXSTER S 6-SPEED DESIGN EDITION
If you include the non-official 987 Porsche Cayman S "Bumble Bee" Edition of which there was only one, then that would be it, but officially the 88 GT4 Sports Cup road cars are the rarest.
How lame is your research?! Blimey, what did you spend, 2 mins?

Rather depends which market you are talking about location wise. Wordwide numbers or for each country.
981 Spyder and 718 Spyder rare in the UK with only c 223 981 and prob even fewer 718 at production end. Probably fewer numbers for the GT4 PDK. 718 Spyder PDK will be extremely rare.

IMO rarest does not equal most collectible. There have been a range of "special editions" that were not at all special to drive compared to the standard models. Go and do test drives to see what floats your boat and what you consider a special driving experience. The 987 Spyder is a great and very special car IMOjulian987R said:
Original poster has zoned out. Waste of time.
OP light-heartedly posed the question at 23:24 last night. Maybe one of two things happened here.
1 - He may have been outside all day in the sunshine instead of posting arsey comments to people on forums
2 - He potentially didn't realise there was a chess-style max response time to forum posts.
2 - Maybe you jumping down his throat less than an hour after posting made him think there are too many b3ll 3nds on PH to bother entertaining the conversation further.
Of course, I'll gladly add the usual disclaimer that these comments reflect my own person opinion. But if forums were a bit more welcoming then maybe people would be a bit more engaging

Lol - not a drop. But there's only so many times you can see the same person cut down innocent posters without throwing some st back at them. The OP asked a polite, innocent question. Doesn't deserve the kn0b-esque response he got.
And OP, no need to justify your whereabouts today.

I am genuinely bemused as to why you have to be so unnecessarily rude in every post. Very strange behaviour. Why not spread a little happiness instead! Then the 987.2 Black Edition 500 produced
