Does anyone know this car?

Friend (not on PH) is going to take a look over the weekend.
I see on here that the owner can be a little on the blunt side, but has plenty of fans & the firm has a good reputation for warranty/customer support. FWIW my friend can be a little spiky, so I'm expecting they'd hit it off splendidly.
Any comments/observations/suggestions gratefully received. Have a good bank holiday all.

I've met plenty of car dealers, well over 100 I'd imagine.
In my experience the slightly blunt ones are usually not full of all the crap that the smiley ones in posh suits are.
I could do a long thread about some of the stupid/hilarious/deceiving comments I've heard from car sales people. One just last week was a total infringement of my statutory rights, and that was a main dealer.
Bring on the blunt, straight talking ones.

I don't know the car but it seems like a fairly strong price for a 986 with 80k on the clock. Personally, I'd look to buy one privately and use the 2-3k I saved to fix any issues which a 15+ year old car (from a dealer or not) will have.
True, but PH lore suggests a high mileage regular use boxter is a "safer" bet than a special occasion car left standing around for most of the year. Also, as said, these guys have a good reputation for addressing issues which come up post - sale. Fair point though.Anyone else have any comments about this one?
