981 GT4 high mileage prices

Hi all,
Looking to get into a 981 GT4.
A friend of mine is going to be part ex'ing his car in for a later model, spec below.
The car is a 16 plate, 26,000 miles 1 owner example.
I do plan on using this car, very frequently, so thought best to go for a higher mileage car vs a garage queen to remove possible increased depreciation.
Do we think the values will drop somewhat now cars are falling outside the PCP finance option? Car in question is 62k.

I can see there are some cars on AT and PH that have seem to stuck on the used market, are 981 slow to sell typically?

Looks a good buy to me at 62k given the bucket seats. I'd buy it were I in a position to do so! I am keeping an eye on the GT4 market pending deciding whether to sell my Evora - want to drive a 981 GT4 before actually making a decision on that. Looking to get into a 981 GT4.

I would want buckets personally, otherwise I'd buy a 718 4.0 GTS. And the cars without seem to hang around for longer than the ones with them, even if they otherwise have a great spec - there's a car at RPM technik at just under 70k that's been advertised for 5 months or so, spec otherwise looks great but it has 18 ways.

The debate on buckets has been done to death i think... but really it boils down to how you intend to use the car and that kind of feel you want.
Buckets really really lock you into the feel of the car and you are properly connected to the GT-ness of the car.
Sport Seats - are comfortable but for me do not provide the locked in - connected feel I want from a GT car... but would be great for road touring and much more regular use of the car.

Porsche offered him 60 for it 62 is what hed like for itI see they are rightfully very mileage price sensitive. So hope using the car i would loose less but the finance deal I have been offered is rather good too

The availability of PCP is not a major factor in the market for GT4s or other Porsche GT cars. Many are bought without finance and 'many' is misleading because there were only about 600 UK GT4s. So, there are plenty of people with 'cash' to buy them. The market for GT cars doesn't tend to follow other car markets. It's a pretty niche market. If the GT4 follows previous GT cars it will soon hit its low market value point and stay there. Other GT cars have done that and then climbed to a higher value (e.g. the low point for a 996 GT3 was about £35K but they now average about £75K and are still slowly rising).If I had to guess, I would say the low market value for the GT4 will be £60K. YMMV. So if you're getting it for £62K there's a good change that depreciation will be minimal. However, beware that running costs (fuel, tax, tyres, brakes and servicing) are high. So it's not cheap motoring!
