New gt4/spyder https://newstv.porsche.com/en
Thought I would start a new post bringing both cars together so we are not toggling between the old posts

For the cost of a secondhand 991.2gt3 you could have both, no press release from porsche on specs and price yet though.
The spyder is my pick of the two makes the 991 speedster look mega expensive!

Where you get this from. So 10K more than the 981, plus options. 80 to 85K car?

The last ones weren't either, it's all down to build slots in whatever window Porsche have allowed for these to be built.

It's in a UK press release, see the GT4 thread. I'd say £85k optioned up is about right.

But they will be limited by the amount the factory can build as per last model

Auto-Start Stop and cylinder de-activation for the first time in GT Car.... So it will be running around town on 4 pots.
But at least it exists!

At those prices and a longer production run I can see the 981 cars prices slipping.
£80-85k for a nicely specd 718gt4 / spyder why pay more than £70k for the older model

Both the new GT4 and Spyder have exactly the same power, torque, weight, acceleration figures and suspension ..My only concern is the quoted weight for both are 1420Kg DIn Empty.. Does this include the 75Kg Driver and luggage, if not they've put on an awful lot of blubber..Its nearly enough to put me right off them if i'm deciphering the figures correctly.

Bigger battery and starter motor to support Auto-Start Stop, Diffuser, Particulate Filters, physically larger engine make up for most of this - also they cannot get the car certified with options fitted such as PCCB or Carbon Buckets.

The exact ruling re options is a bit vague but iirc it's supposed to be 'representative'.

Probably just means declared factory weights are now merely quite far off rather than completely farcical....

Awesome cars but I'm a bit underwhelmed so far, I’m not sure they’ve moved the game on as much as even the 991.1 to 991.2 GT3. I think I was expecting more......
