Gen 2 car on a 58 plate?

I'm interested in a gen 2 Cayman but its on a 58 plate and I thought the earliest they came out was 09? The car was registered in January 2009, and a quick Google returns a release date of 21st Feb 2009.

With it being one of the earliest cars out I wonder if it was a press car.

Edit: Done some googling, some 58 cars do exist (press cars) - I've spoken with the seller and he confirmed it was an ex Porsche dealer/demo car. I'm not so keen on it now.
