How do you bleed the cooling system on a Cayman?

Hi All,

I wonder if someone can help....
I've just replaced the water pump on my 2.7 Cayman (so far so good!).

Can any one advise me how to bleed the cooling system please?
I'll be buggered if I can get the thermostat to open!
