Can anyone recommend an alternative to main dealer servicing in the Portsmouth/Southampton area?

has anyone tried Brookspeed in Eastleigh?

If you visit the Map in the sticky thread at the top of the porsche forum, are there any near you? Just a thought.

Thanks just looked

It mentions Regal in Southampton, I haven't heard of them.

Anybody recommend them?

Hi, I live near Portsmouth but take my Cayman to Guildford OPC who have offered 10% discount on servicing. The 986 Boxster goes to Autotecnics in Chichester who do a good job for a fair price.

Thanks, so far I have used Guildford for its first major service and the new one in Portsmouth for a minor. Both times they seem to find extra things that 'need' doing, which is hard when you haven't budgeted for an extra £500 or so.

Just had my 996 serviced at Brookspeed (and Blib has just bought a car there too) - they weren't "cheap" but they did a good job and didn't push me to get anything else done.

Would recommend.

Thanks Mikeyr, that is really useful.

A guy told me that they used a garage in Grayshott near Hindhead and he has a serious track spec 911
Anyone else used them.

And for anybody reading this, I do know how to spell dilemma, just a typo, annoys me everytime I log on.

I'm guessing you have a new car as it was the first major was it not covered by the warranty?

No only new to me when it had done 9,000 miles, it was the major service at 16,000 that was a shock.

Shame it didn't have any warranty when you bought it, so I'm guessing you bought it privately then. What year is it?
