Is it possible to negotiate a 10% discount on a new build Cayman and is there a particular time of the year that helps obtaining a discount.

Cheers stv

On a base Cayman or Cayman S, 6% is pretty easy to get (at least here in the US) for a custom build. 10% is mostly seen on cars already in a dealer's inventory. 10% on a custom order probably isn't impossible if you timed it to take delivery in January, but I'd imagine there'd only be one or two dealers who'd even entertain that.

I managed to get 10% off a new built to order Boxster but did take a lot of work and negotiating by shopping around 6 dealers.
Had to take Porsche Finance to get this.

I got 7.5% recently but you could get 10% if you take the Porsche finance. Then cancel the finance the following day if you are a cash buyer.
