AFAIK, the factory fill is still Mobil 1 0w-40 and this is the recommended oil, though the latest Porsche Approved Oils list gives maybe 50 different oils, if for some reason you want to run something else.Generally you can find Mobil 1 just about anywhere.

Fair enough , it just with some cars as the get older some say you should move up to something a little thicker.Generally you can find Mobil 1 just about anywhere.

I reckon that's just PH myth number 47.I've never heard the slightest justification for treating any modern (last 30 years) engine in that way. If the engine needs a particular oil when it's new then that's the oil it needs when it's got some miles on it.
