I have a deposit on the mythical GT4 but am considering a CR as a placeholder until it is announced.

I expect it to lower in price than the Gt3 but other than that, my only other requirement is that it be available in manual and come with the clubsport package. My Cayman R can always be available for the right price
It needs to be a 3.8 NA car with 6 pots and have 380bhp.
Other wise just spend 10k on the R and get 360 Bhp and a good few mods on it.
For me to part with 50k on top on the R it is going to have to be every thing.
Turbo or still a 3.4 and I will stick with my R
When gen 2 997gt3 are 80k 2nd hand you have to think long and hard spending more on a Cayman.

imho the gt4 will end up being a flat4 turbo!but if its a 3.8na then it could get interesting but will it look as crap as the gts cayman!the other thing is the 991gt3 at the moment is silly money but in 2 years time when more come to the market as current owners move on or/and as real track day warriors look for 997gt3/rs for the pure drive the prices of 991gt3 will fall and maybe a 2 year old 991gt3 is the same money as a new gt4 what would you buy then!
to me the 991 wins on looks alone as i just dont like the look of the 981

Veeeeery much rumor, but Autocar's Sutcliffe says later-model Caymans will see rear-wheel steering, and a turbo four.

Honestly, I've no beef with rear-wheel steering. At low speeds it'd make the Cayman seem like it has an MX-5 wheelbase.
