I have a problem with my 2007 Boxster with 64k on the clock. I've only had the car a couple of months and the clutch has felt ok if a little heavy to me but then I've come from an auto. Today the clutch has got a lot lighter and will not go in and out of gear without a fight although it's quite willing once the engine is off. Any ideas folks.

Cheers.

Sounds like your pressure plate springs have collapsed. Get it into a specialist for them to have a look.

Reads more like a clutch hydraulic system issue. How's the fluid level? Any leak sign? When was the last time you had the brake/clutch fluid flushed/bled?

You were right. I managed to get into a local specialist yesterday and that's what they found when they took it apart.
