YES, good review, top down in the wet, buy an old one, all good stuff.

funny, i saw the link for 'The best car in the world ' on the Telegraph website and didn't even bother to open it as I expected some over priced super car or super saloon, or worse, a Koreran econbox.

So the Boxster (not even an S) , a pleasant surprise.

Recently "drove the Porsche range" at Silverstone and remain very happy with my choice.

I drove a new Boxter (not S) recently (courtesy car) and was very very impressed. But best car in the world is a bit OTT. For me the biggest problem was the ratios of the PDK. Over 100 in 3rd meant that without driving at stupid speeds you never could have the fun of changing gear on a spirited drive. Great fun car though, especially in the wet!
