After about a month of no use, my battery was flat. Luckily enough charge left to open the bonnet, so I didn't have to mess around with any of the 'emergency release' methods.

The battery is currently on charge in my house. My question is, while the battery is out and on charge I assume I need to leave the bonnet open!? This is frustrating because I live in a urban area with street parking and I don't really feel comfortable leaving it like this, even though the bonnet is empty!

I assume I just have to leave it open, but thought I'd see if anyone has any suggestions?

Cheers,

Alex

I can see where you're coming from.

Possibly just put something over the catch or put a wedge of kitchen roll between the catch and the bonnet so you can have it down but not totally closed, so it doesn't attract too much attention. That's what I'd do anyway.

Thanks for the reply!

I've got it mostly shut, propped open a little. I think that's probably all I can do!

Most of the neighbours think the engine is in there.
