My 2010 Boxster S (19 inch wheels) has got Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s on....I suspect from new.....does anyone have any recommendations re replacement please? Should I stick with the same, or are there better options? Also, any suggestions as to where to obtain best prices would be helpful. Many thanks.

stay the same if you want warranty they are the best N spec tyre by a long way for that car.

or try Pilot SS which are not n rated.

All be it I have not been blown away with these on my Cayman over how I was blown away by PSS on my TTRS and M3.
maybe need some miles on them.

Happy to be corrected but I thought Porsche had "ok'd" the PSS now...

OPC Leeds have confirmed that there is now a N rated Pilot Super Sport, but only in the size for the rear of 987. Maybe a front fitment will follow at some point?, or not as they are N rated for a Porsche other than Boxster. Technically the only absolutely Porscxhe approved tyres are the N rated ones on the specific list for the particular car.

Try Goodyear F1's.

Cheaper, N rated, wear is better (so far) and in reality, 90% of the people on here wouldn't be able to tell the difference between them and any mainstream brand.

And neither would the other 10%.

Very Good!

For me though - PSS edge them in the dry - PSS turn in better, give a little more feedback in the corner plus they feel slightly more supple than GA2s. GA2s were better in the wet in that they gave up the grip a little later and were as predictable when they did so. I also found that both wore well but the PSS kept their grip slightly better down towards the wear markers.

If they are your only tyre then think hard about the GA2s - if you go Winter tyre in Nov-Apr time then definitely go for PSS.

btw - the PS2s are a great tyre - but yes they have been superseded performance wise by PSS in the Michelin range...

I had Goodyear Eagle runflats on a previous car. Too stiff; harsh ride.

Switched them to conventional Michelin Pilot Sports. Wonderful! IMO Michelin make great tyres, at a price.

The 981 came with conventional Goodyear Eagle F1 - these seem a mighty fine tyre to me.

I think there are 2 sizes that are N rated, to fit the Carrera GT, the front size for which happens to be the same as the rear for some other models.

Yes I bought 265/35 x 19 which were N-0 rated although the 235/35 x 19 were not N rated

PS: If anyone wants to make a decent offer on them they were bought on Thursday and have done 10 laps of Croft on my CR smile

Have just ordered for Cayman, set 453 265/235-40-18 Falkens @ £450-38 from My Tyres.Have used them on Z3MC for two day closed vists PA to NS over the past 4 years + a Stone or Donny Club days each year.

Still looking great--Don't drive ALA Miss Daisy---so will be interested to see how they perform over the next year or so, while Z waits her turn.
