Well I have been stalking this forum for some while and now have placed a deposit on a Boxster GTS, do not know the build date yet but the sooner the better. Had been looking at F type took one out on the Gaydon track very capable car but on country roads it’s just too wide.

Always had British cars such as Triumph Stag (I am not that old), Lotus Elise, TVR Tamora and a couple of Aston Martin Vantages.

I need to scratch the Porsche itch so hopefully I am going to like it, other half even said she would drive it (back from the pub) so here’s hoping.....

Nice.

Not sure on the red dials and imo the 18way seats are not worth it.
Would also colour code the wing mirrors, never liked this two tone design, makes it look cheap.

Agree on the seats.

I originally went for the buckets but they have no height adjustment so config was swapped to 18 way at dealers, not locked down yet until a slot is agreed so welcome the comments before I finalise.

You have to try the buckets.

If you are physically within certain parameters then they can be very comfortable indeed. I have no issue with mine whatsoever and would choose them again in a heartbeat. Some people can't get comfortable in them though.

The GTS looks nice although, personally I am not a fan of red instrument dials either.

Congrats - looks fantastic inside and out.

Do you really need a reversing camera?
PDLS is great if you're out in the sticks.
The PCM phone module has more functionality (rSAP - unless you have an iphone) and IIRC is only about £100 more.
The red dials are a personal taste thing - not for me either. Are they a default part of the GTS package?

Great looking car, very jealous. I was in at a local Porsche dealer yesterday looking at a cayman 's, myself.

MrD, you say the 18 way seats are not worth it? Do you happen to know if the 2 way have lumbar support? Or is that only on the 18 way?

Not keen on the red dials myself and it’s only the rev counter that is in red!standard as part of the GTS package.

Would really like buckets as had them in other cars and always found them comfortable but no height adjustment is a big negative.

That's one very nice looking Mr2roadster biggrin

Liking the colour scheme. Did you consider a Cayman or did it have to be a 'vert?

Cannot remember from my old car if it has or not, but a good seat does not need lumbar adjustment and people often turn it up to much when they do have it.

but 2k to add more electric seats is not worth the money imo. the standard ones are the SPORTS seats which I wouold always spec if I did not want a car with buckets.

that's a hell of a spec, will be lovely

as others have said:
PDC is very useful, adding camera is a complete waste of time IMHO, adds no accuracy
I get the idea, match the exterior but coloured dials (except white or silver) put me right off any second hand car

I would go heated buckets everytime with the caveat that you need to try before you buy as they are very much dependent on your height and build. The buckets are a very comfy seat.

Lovely.

Glad to see the nice GTS interior - a must have on one of these I reckon.
Wouldn't buy second hand without it.

Can't imagine any of these NOT being Carmine red either - superb colour.
