Bike Rack for Boxster
Discussion
Newbie member and newbie 987 owner (first Porsche). Absolutely loving it.
It is our only car and moving into the summer I'll be needing to move my road bike around as I do events (my other passion in life). I understand that for the 986, Porsche offered the RTS but they didnt update it for the 987 so nothing official from Porsche. I have done a little research and I came across Bird Automotive bike racks but as far as I can tell, that is pretty much my only option. Anyone used a bike rack on a Boxster before now without damaging the paintwork? If so which one? Anyone used these Bird Automotive ones before now? They seem a little pricey at nearly $500 so practically £300 after shipping, especially for something I havent even seen before but they do appear to keep the bike away from the paintwork
Thanks!

Had a Bird bike rack on my Boxster before we added a Subaru Legacy to the garage sold it to a fellow PH'er

Clever fixing method bracket with 2 pipes you then attach the rack to, pretty stable although as I've got a disc wheel on the back of my bike it was a bit susceptible to wind ,also could block the rear lights if you weren't careful but probably not a problem for most. Even had 2 bikes on it a couple of times, certainly turns heads
