Keep noticing the roof on my 987 boxster keeps popping out from the trim now and again, anyome know why its doing so?

Heres what its doing

And heres how it should be

I can get it back in by tucking under trim when roof slightly open, but its a pain and shouldnt do it!

Cheers

The 987 is different to the 986.
Open the hood half way. There is a elastic connected to the black piping. follow it back into the frame and the is attached to the frame by a star headed screw. The elastic has slots in it. undo the screw and move it down one slot. This will tighten the elastic and guide the piping into the correct place when you close the hood.
If it keeps happening after move the elastic down one more slot.
If that doesn't do it the elastic will need replacing.

I had the same issue on my 987. IIRC there was a cable that has a white sheath which popped out of a plastic guide that has slot running its length. Getting it back in was a PITA....had to release as much tension as possible and pull the cable to allow it to feed back into the slot.

Thanks for the replies people. Boxsey this seems to have sorted the issue, thanks! Was terrified of dropping the screw down into the roof cavity though as it wasnt the easiest place to access!
