Was this a possible option on the Cayman S.

Looking at the classifieds they are really well priced at the moment but not so keen on the leather. If i could afford it i would opt for the R but just outside of budget at the moment!

Cheers,

Woza.

On the 987 Cayman S, partial leather was standard. Full leather an option.

Cheers for the response. Struggling to find one in the classifieds!

Also - rear spoiler, does this come up at a certain speed or is there an option to have raised at all times?

Thanks again and apologies for stupid questions.

Woza.

There is a button on the centre console to manually raise the spoiler so you can have it up all the time if you want.

Not keen on the leather?

I think it lifts the interior quite a lot on a car of that value new. Expected luxury levels.

It was an option and well worth it in my view. Should really be the standard finish.

There is a button on my Boxster S down by the right knee that does this. Can only be done when the vehicle is stationary, which is probably true on the Cayman as well. (?)

However, I had presumed that exceeding 75 mph would cause it to 'cycle' and therefore retract when I slow to below 50 mph as per the manual. Am I wrong?

You are correct. It raises automatically at 75 mph and lowers at, I believe, 45 mph.

When I bought my Cayman S the dealer said that you should only use this button if you want to lock like a cock! So I have mine raised at all times smile

I use the button when I wash it... That's what I thought it was for *blushes*

Ditto. And now and again to check if it's still working since you can't see it in the rear view mirror.
