Hi folks,

A long shot but I thought what the hell!

I sold my 2005 2.7 ltr Boxster back in 2010 having had it for a couple of years. It was originally silver but I had it resprayed Lotus Krypton Green (I know - seemed like a good idea at the time).

I traded it in to Jeep Kilmarnock but just wondered if anyone has seen it about? It had a dark brown roof and cocoa leather interior. Afraid I can't remember the original plate.

Here's a pic of it in silver before the respray (green pics are on an old and broken pc)...I changed the standard wheels and exhaust to what you see below...

I'll be amazed if I can hunt it down!

Cheers,

Martin

Got to be the same one.

Can't believe it - that's the one!

I see the new owner painted the alloys black. How did he like the car? When I bought it the car only had 28k on the clock - think I had done about 40k when I sold it. I paid £19k at the time so £10k is pretty good.

Are you going to buy it back? Great colour.

Slightly OT I know but when you had it sprayed were you happy with it? I have been thinking of changing the colour of my silver 996 to make it a bit more lively to look at. We had a Speed Yellow Box for a time and I miss the colour - but do you get problems with the paint finish across the different materials, and does it really look like the original finish would??

You get what you pay for. The paint job on the above vehicle was good given the price I paid. I was 24 and wanted the car to stand out from the crowd - whether you like it or not, I think I achieved that lol

I won't be buying it back but it was a good car for me - I didn't have any problems during my year and a half or so of ownership.

I should add that in the end I sold it because it was too small for my needs and the abuse from other road users was pretty bad at times.
