I would be interested to hear how you all look after your Porsche's. What methods and products do you use to keep the paintwork like new. Thanks

Bit of a can of worms mate but you can't go too far wrong if you follow this guide
http://www.911uk.com/template.php?page=101

As for products, often its a personal preference. If shoppig at halfords then buy meguiars or auto glym. If buying from a detailing store/ website then zaino it a popular product.

Right, now where is that popcorn icon.

If you become obsessed then check out detailingworld.

Swissvax is good stuff. bit pricey but lasts so I've heard from one of my friend who details for a living.
Oh Johnson's Baby Shampoo is great for waxed or sealed paintwork.

that's my 2p's worth wink

I use Dove on all my cars, contains one quarter moisturising lotion and it won't dry your paint out like some soaps can!

Does anyone bother feeding the leather on the dash and door caps?

Apparently you're not supposed to. It's pre shrunk to fit and if you feed it them it stretches. Once it dries out it shrinks again and distorts. frown

Cheers for that. What did you trade your CR in for?

Fairy liquid and Brillo pad according to my five year old daughter. Got the flies off but rather dulled the finish on my 911's bonnet.

Thanks for the feedback, am glad I didn't bother treating them then!

Maybe use Autoglym Interior Shampoo and then polish off with Autoglym Vinyl Rubber? (Or just use the latter by itself)
