Rear drop link torque
Discussion
I got a workshop manual on CD-ROM for my '03 Boxster S, and although it covers a heck of a lot, there is no mention of the rear anti-roll bar drop links.
There is a slight knock from the rear over bumps and I suspected the drop link straight away (they used to wear out for a pastime on my last Fiat). I'm aware they are handed so I bought a rear pair 'cos the n/s one is fairly slack as well. Any information on the torque values would be welcome. They look straight forward to change but, as I said, they are not mentioned on the CD-ROM, which surprises me.
Edit: Is it what Porsche call the stabilizer mount? (The anti-roll bar being the stabilizer). I can't copy / paste from the pdf file, security issue to stop me running off multiple copies no doubt!

Yes, the stabiliser is the anti-roll bar. Easiest to go on thread sizes if you aren't sure which is which:
Location - Thread - Tightening torque
Stabiliser to carrier side section - M8 - 23Nm (17ftlb.)
Stabiliser to stabiliser mount - M10 x 1.5 - 50Nm (37ftlb.)
Stabiliser to spring strut/wheel carrier - M12 x 1.5 - 85Nm (63ftlb.)

Thsnks. My pdf manual has the middle item on your list as 46Nm (34 lbft), not 50 (not that different to worry about), so I will presume that the last torque setting is the one for the top of the roll bar drop link to the spring strut.
I'm still a bit surprised that this 206 page pdf manual does not cover their replacement since these days, they are almost a consumable item á la brakes and tyres.
