Boxster Wheels/Hubs
Discussion
Hi guys
First post!
I just bought a 987 3.2S - it's been great and is in really nice condition. One thing that bothers me though is the surface rust on the hubs (between the alloys and the discs). See image below:

Is there any way I can get this part painted or treated? It's not part of the alloy, and I did enquire with one garage and they said it's not something they'd do. Everything else on the car looks great, it's just this unsightly surface rust which I know is only cosmetic but let's it down a little.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

Interesting topic - I have mid grey with a satin finish from factory to the inside surface of the alloys (they are basalt black)and from time to time tar or small pieces of grit/dirt get fixed to the surface. However, even a gentle rub results in the black base grinning through and some corrective work is therefors required. Porsche Reading needed a photograph of the wheel as they could not understand a pretty straighforward request although there will be cars in their showroom with the same finish. Eventually they confirmed that there is no part number for the product/paint they use and cannot therefore supply matching paint. If anyone is going on a Factory Visit could they pop into the paint shop and get me a small jar of the stuff please. Seems incredible that no one at Porsche has a clue!!
