Great post, thanks, this is great information. Quick question - Which OPC was this..?? Mine has the same opinion about the GT4 and has actively encouraged me not to sell mine as he reckons its unicorn spec and also last of its line with nothing on the horizon that offers a similar experience for the money......

Interested to see if it's more than one OPC that views the GT4 as a cracking enthusiasts car rather than something to flip to get into something more expensive
He is in OPC Mayfair. smile

Hi all. Looking at getting a last petrol car to keep for a while. GT4 is on the list. My local OPC has a nice yellow one in.

https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en-GB/details/porsch...

It is recent and low miles but not a huge spec (fine for what I want though) value seems a bit punchy to me though, what do you all think?

In general are OPCs willing to do deals on price or are they list price only like in the old days?

Thanks.

Yes, there’s always a deal to be done. If the dealer owns the car, they’ll probably have £10-15k margin to work with. If it’s SOR, I’d start with around £5k and see what the seller says. The last car I SORed with my OPC sold for £5k less than sticker price (at least that what the dealer told me, I never did see an invoice whistle ).

If you plan to keep it for a while and it's the spec / condition you want then suggest you go for it. These cars aren't being made any more, and you'll soon forget 'over paying' by 2-3k for something that exactly fits what you're after.

And yes, OPCs don't normally do massive deals but if you tell them that you'll definitely going to buy a a car today - and that it'll be theirs or another similar one you're also negotiating on, then you'll find out how much they'll deal. Other items to get thrown in as part of the discussion are free next service, extended warranty PEC half day and GAP insurance (if not now banned)

Hope you get what you're after

or if Yellow, and want comfort seats and to purchase from Porsche Used, then this one is better. Older and 10K more miles, but £22K cheaper and far nicer cabin spec.

Thanks all. I guess you are paying for the low miles and newness of the car. Since I plan on driving it and keeping it a while neither of those are advantages to me really.

I love the decals though, will Porsche retro fit?

Don't let some cheap aftermarket decals sway you. They can be bought and fitted for a few hundred quid at any time: https://www.designstuffonline.co.uk/vehicle_graphi...

My advice FWIW: firstly decide what gearbox you want, then what colour(s) you want, then what spec you want (buckets/sofas, full leather, clubsport, LED's etc). Once you have those filtered the market choice will suddenly look very small. That will then allow you to narrow down and find a car that suits you and your budget

This car near me is the same age/price as the yellow one, it has a few more miles but it is PTS, Buckets, CS: https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en-GB/dealer/details...

I'm not saying that's the car for you, just to demonstrate market pricing. smile

Thanks, I think you are right. I was swayed by wanting to use my 2nd closest opc as unlike the closest they have been really helpful but I think i should just be ruthless and get the car I want wherever it happens to be!

The Viola Metallic one was advertised elsewhere until recently. It looked slightly different then. Tyre stickers anyone? nono

Think it depends who you sell too, but you're correct that wbac don't take into account options at all.

Interesting one I saw was the red 718GT4 that sold in Novemeber for £66k on Collecting Cars, light on options but had Carbon Buckets, think the wbac price was £65kish

My immediate thought was could've flogged the Carbon Buckets for £10k, installed 2nd hand Comforts for £2k flogged it to wbac and pocketed the £6k profit hehe

Thought to myself "the optional air intake grilles could be a good thing to add to the car, I wonder how much they are"...

£436 for 2 pieces of chicken mesh... rofl
