The embargo lifted a couple of weeks ago, not a great time to be thinking about a marginally faster / substantially more expensive cabriolet when the bottom is dropping out of the market ... but there are some brave souls out there so where are you ?

What spec ???

First and probably the last NA RS convertible, don’t think there will be an issue with values for the lucky few.

Wasn’t a moment’s hesitation when I got the call. The 1st offer of a RS I’ve ever had after 15+ cars out of Porsche over 20 years . I suspect had the market remained strong I would never had got the call so I’m happy . Yeah I’ll lose a bit on the GT4 I’ll have to move on , but I think the Spyder itself should hold its value pretty well …. Regardless I’ll probably be in a home in 20yrs so enjoy it now I say ….

All the below come in under £130K ( no WP as pretty much cosmetic )

Blue wheels has blue decals , belts etc
Platinum wheels with red callipers has red decals , belts etc

I thought I had more money than sense but at £130k for a boxster with a canvas roof is insane.

The only 'daft' person would be one who actually refuses a Spyder RS allocation assuming they want one in the first place bearing in mind the extremely low numbers and likely flipped/short/medium term value.

I thought this was a car forum ! 500bhp , 9000rpm GT3 engine and your bothered its a boxster … 3.2 to 60 but being tested at 2.9 and its daft to buy one at a cost less than speccing carbon fibre on a new Ferrari smilesmile

He didn't mention having an allocation, just his opinion, which of course he's entitled to. .

I agree ... and without the Weissach makes it a "sensible" price smile

I have yet to see a GT4RS without this ... and I have been watching out !

The article in EVO certainly rates it ...

I’d have liked to have seen him put the blue wheels on the white car ( before he changed the colour to grey ) to see how it looked with his graphics .
Local owner to me went blue wheels and graphics on white but it looked st to me, the blue is just too washed out against the white.

I think Non-WP/Painted bonnet works really well on SRS.

Yep Chris all 20 OPC used GT4RS are WP. Be interesting knowing how many non WP cars there are in the UK prob only a handful if any at all.

Its an expensive option imo for what you get. But of course a WP car will always be worth more than a non WP merely because it simply IS WP.

Interestingly I had a quote to carbon wrap the side ducts on a non WP. Quality job came in at just £150 lol.!

Depending on the cars colour I actually prefer the non exposed carbon bonnet of the non WP car.

Average spec non WP (with essential leather dash and standard arctic stitching (for the benefit of our resident troll 993RSR laugh) red belts chrono lift is coming in at top £120ks on the config btw.

Thanks for that ... as mentioned my idea spec was £130k (a while ago) and I wouldn't be averse to a close spec pre-run-in car, but I still wouldn't want to pay "if any" of a premium over the current new list price. The grey non WP car is £35k over list which makes no sense when a WP with mags can be had from an OPC for the same price ... or less ?

Unfortunately Porsche have "spiked" the market with specification frippery .... and on one of the best track cars they have ever made !!

Bonkers IMHO ... I wonder if new orders might set a balance on this ?

Anyway, back to Spyder spec ... well done, it does look great smile

Any idea on allocations to date guys please? Still one per OPC and maybe a couple more per OPC for 2024?

I got the call last week for a Q2 2024 build and they said the build “slots” should be showing on the system later this week, to load a spec . So the plural suggests at least 2 more for 2024 for that dealer .

I drove my 4RS to Donington to run it in and then had great fun with it on track.
