Actually, what is the static dB reading of a standard 718 GT4 at 5k revs?
Anyone got a dB reader that could let us know please?

Should be fine for the Ring. Probably means that a perf exhaust would be a no for me as the Ring is 95db..

Static isn’t your problem. Totally stock car. It pinged 89.5db out of the first corner, drive by at Bedford is 87db.
I hear Bedford is quite strict now. Did they give you another chance (turn the exhaust off maybe?) or was that it for the day?

So here is my final spec PMJ8GSR0

Anything I have missed?

Really like Python too but expect I may not like it as much in a few years.

Has anyone taken delivery of a Python GT4?

Also, there must be some N rated road tyres that fit the GT4?

Pirelli’s amongst the few I can find for regular year round driving

Thanks Finmac, does the car run well on Pirelli P Zeros?

Why would you want to run a GT4 on P Zeros? They're OK on a regular car but I wouldn't want them on my GT4.

The GT4 is not a year-round car, run it on 'proper' tyres such as Cup2s in good weather and accept its limitations or buy another car IMHO.

Thanks Twinfan. Going to use the GT4 in good weather and use our other car. Need the car to go to spec lock so I can’t keep making changes. Roll on December for delivery...

Would the car not be fun on P Zeros?

Don't necessarily agree, this is no different to the 991 GT3 debate over fitting road tyres to safely use the car in the colder winter months.
There has been a lot said regarding the Pilot Sport 4S, it had been N rated in the correct size but had not been approved for the GT3. It now has been approved and quite a few who use the 991 GT3 throughout the year, can use approved tyres which are far safer in cold wintery conditions making the car suitable for all year round usage. Quite a number of owners are fitting these to the GT3 and reports say the difference in ability in the dry is small but massive in the cold and wet. The PS4 is also cheaper.

Fitting all-weather tyres to the GT4 has the same benefits particularly if the car is not taken on track.

That’s some statement - because it’s cup tyres don’t work well in the cold you shouldnt use your £85K car spin

Tony, spec is very personal but you have ticked all the right boxes in my mind. Only observation do you really want a fire extinguisher in the passenger footwell? Have you considered PORSCHE’ logo painted in Satin Black to keep the stealth look going?

Thank you GT3, agreed I have removed fire extinguisher and added Porsche logo in black. Like the idea of stealth! Here is new code PMMM7YH4.

I'm talking about Porsche approved tyres, remember. I'd run PS4Ss on my GT4 no problem but they're not approved...

Only the Clubsport pack gets the footwell extinguisher. I believe the separate option for an extinguisher is the smaller one that fits under the passenger seat as per non-GT cars, which is a nice and tidy unobtrusive location.

Exactly the reason I mentioned Pirelli as the only tyre presently N rated that I can see available for the GT4. And no I dont plan on leaving my car sitting in the garage all winter nor am I keen to take it out and potentially crashing it.
