From the look of the photo, some nutcase glued a screwdriver handle to it...

No , That was put in to show the puncture site , possibly debris on track . Low loader back after race . There are not many places to safely pull off on the Kemmel .
Just stating that the cost of Slicks since Ukraine and availability has been. major issue .
