Over the current configurator price ... unless Porsche are going to reduce prices there is little point in using historical list prices ... unless you want to buy a car with a discount and at the moment that's not a GT car ...

Still way over list though ?

They were £108,000 + extras , my online spec with WP only came to £123,000

Still a nice car but very high mileage so probably had plenty of track time
Price rose to £113700 in latish 2022 then subsequently £123000.

That green RS at South Lakes is similar high mileage to the 15k mile yellow ex Press car at Ashgoods still for sale at top £150ks. Both are too way expensive especially bearing in mind there is a sub £160k low mileage 23 23 white WP but with steels for sale at Mayfair.

Drove the yellow 73 plate ceramic braked nice spec RS at York not long ago....really nice mint car sub 1k miles but again it is way too expensive despite having recently been dropped to £190k.

Yes was a price rise and concur, they are currently way overpriced which is why they aren’t selling and with over 20 for sale out of an alleged 188 sold they are hardly a Special Edition

Would still like one for tracking but from a drive in one they are too harsh for most road use

Several have sold this winter was 21 pre Christmas now 18 OPC cars. True test will be approaching Spring. Looks like most OPCs will be getting just 2 more cars in 2024.

c10% UK stock for sale at OPCs usual for a Porsche GT mid winter.

Driven a few on a wide variety of A and B roads done c200+ miles in total (steels/ceramics but not mags) and yes they are harsh/focused and the rear suspension in particular can be too stiff on the 'wrong' road but it depends what you want.... conversely very entertaining playful and extremely rapid on the right roads as you would expect from an RS. Been offered a Spyder RS but much prefer the GT4 RS as a package.... both cars have their flaws and quite frankly the Spyders joke hood is a major drawback.

Wonder how long it will be before aftermarket airbox noise 'filters' are available for the 4RS..

Guildford…and I think no-lift is the sticking issue for that car, more so than steels.
Would be an interesting buy with an offer, as a track rat.

Interesting post thanks, so, let’s say another 2 x GT4RS per OPC then that’s likely to end up close to 300 cars in total sold in UK. Not such a limited edition after all?

Any mention from your OPC on Spyder RS numbers for UK this year please?

I'm not looking at spec because everybody wants different things ... I'm just comparing the configurator price to the advertised price.

I recall the white car being £10k over the configurator price.

I for example wanting a 991.2 GT3RS as gen 1 (no particulate filter), non Weissach (the existing parts are expensive enough to risk) and steels (PCCB's on this car are a no-go to my mind) was left with a choice of probably five or six UK cars ... I feel rather lucky to have found precisely what I was looking for ...

It's an interesting market currently always around 20 cars for sale, sometimes down to 17 then up to 22, some are way over priced when you compare similar examples for sale.

A few have sold over Xmas, red on at Porsche Edinburgh was a nice car, I was hoping it would come down a little further, oh well. There are a few others that I'm an really interested in but again I think there's still some way to go on those given the mileage/spec that is generally available.

If OPC's are getting 2 allocations in 2024 this should dilute down the value somewhat I would hope, but is this just a winter/low season adjustment we are seeing, come spring people may have a chunk of cash burning a hole in their pocket for a summer toy.

I’d say, the deal you managed to achieve on the car you have is probably not replicable this season…. certainly not with cars publicly for sale.

Could be although the 1300 mile 23 23 £164900 (£147k with options) GTS one at Guildford currently looks the best value steel braked OPC car with lift.

Reckon it was always going to be an approx 2 year UK production run for the 4RS.

UK Spyder RS production will be lower proportionately probably similar to the Spyder/GT4. Be interesting seeing whether Porsche raise new prices again this year mindful of the economic backdrop etc .

Do you need a lift with these, are they lower than the GT4 ?

Yep 30mm lower than the GT4 which really needs lift too but unavailable.

There might be only 20 cars listed but we know Porsche like Ferrari will have many more used examples to go on market when they feel time is right.

Both brands do it to try and manipulate pricing upwards.

As good as a Cayman/Spyder RS is they are not 150k good or overs good second hand.

With the amount sold I’d expect some further big drop in months to come.

100%, you have to navigate the roads as is it with a GT4, the RS is lower so it would be a must, surprised it's an option/not surprised it's Porsche.

With the shorter front lip on the Spyder RS , do you think it’s equally essential.? I’m in 2 minds

Main thing is the longer front splitter and the underbody fins… which change clearance angle of ingress/egress/incline/decline.

Ride heights are adjustable on the coilovers..
Same 30mm drop over a cooking 718.

The 4RS and Spyder RS are 10mm lower than the GT4 and 718 Spyder.

The 30mm is the difference to a standard 718 model.

You need FAL on both, especially if you get a basic geo done which will lower the ride height a little further.

Personally I would see the lift on both RS GT4 and Spyder as 'no brainer' options which will add more than the option cost to the cars value. Depends how long you are keeping the car of course.

Even accounting for the shorter front lip one could argue the front lift is even more desirable on the Spyder as the car is more road focused as a weekend car and less likely to be used on track v GT4RS.

100% they need lift; my gt4 was sadly sold due to it being to low on the front and wouldn’t get in my home garage!

If a gt4rs is lower god help you if you didn’t have lift.
