Gt products have always been designed as a car you can drive to the track and home again , but it’s nice to hear some owners are using as intended and not sitting under a cover and only coming out on sunny days for a run out to cars and coffee!
Oh and the SRS roof is not a faf had same on the 987 version, it’s a soft top after all .

Everyone is different, with different tolerances. I’ve put on about 7k/year on my (981) GT4 (95% fun stuff only). I’d been interested in a 4RS, provided I could live with suspension setup - from mix accounts who knows, until I try one. I get it might be tiring on longer trips but so is another greater drivers car - Lotus Elise.
Too many want there sports cars to ride like a saloon, the Gt4 is a sports car the 4RS is a tool!

I wouldn’t take too much notice of the negative comments you read regarding the 4RS suspension etc……many of the folk passing comment don’t own one, have never owned one and will never own one.
Compared to the standard GT4 it’s just a total animal- few cars are as exciting to drive on a twisty B road.

I think it's gone back up to £139500 on the Porsche site ... but it has been for sale forever ...

P.S. I prefer non-Weissach which is mainly cosmetic ...

i said this a few days back. When down to 135k and then back up to 139.5 on approved used.

Autotrader might still be showing 135.

As I’ve said from day 1… I do prefer cleaner looking non-wp.

Definitely. Keep talking prices down and they’ll be at 80k in no time smile

I think the issue is, most ppl will want "the best" i.e. WP, so selling it will be a pain. Also, the non carbon air intake doesn't sound as good- according to people on Rennlist?

Non-WP selling will only be a pain if you expect to sell it for same price as WP car. If you want all the options you pay all the money.
So therefore buy well and then price accordingly for sale as there is a submarket for non-wp.

As for the noise. I understand from someone 1st hand that had non-wp and now has WP that the sound difference mainly comes from the side intakes with the scoops. Adding more resonance. This might be a good or bad thing depending on your own subjectivity.

No ones doing that, they seem to be coming down quickly and no shortage of supply.

Had a non WP car on hire in Germany & Austria a couple of weeks ago, covered 650 km on all types of road, noise was most addictive, not driven a WP car so can’t compare but certainly wouldn’t put me off at the right price.

It’s an RS so obviously more hardcore than our GT4 but wife & I were impressed how easy it was to live with on the boring parts of the trip, perfectly docile in Munich traffic, have to say very tempted to change & watching the market.

Still being built |Paul, see if you can get one exactly how you want! Did you borrow from a friend or rent one?

Agreed ...

The evidence in the cars built so far would appear to suggest that almost everybody wanted Weissach (which is also the access to magnesium wheels). Unfortunately this evidence is compromised by the fact that many had to spec up the cars to access a build slot ... this including losing money on buying cars they didn't want, even a watch that they didn't want ... to complete the set.

The benefit of the unsprung mass saving of the magnesium wheels massively outweighs the mass savings of the (primarily cosmetic) Weissach pack ... and for me questions the cynicism of limiting this option only to Weissach cars even though they are available in the aftermarket. Not everybody wants a second set of wheels when they are centre locks.

Only now that allocations are becoming normal will (in my view) undistorted specification choices become clear ... and even now some are saying that PCCB's and Weissach ticks are being "requested".

We shall see !

P.S. The £135k car that has been for sale forever was the same price as many Weissach cars ... if you could have had Weissach for free, why wouldn't you ? It is no surprise that it hasn't sold ... it is too expensive by comparison to the cost of a "new to the new owners spec" car. And it is now an old GT4RS ...

Nope.

Those 2 cars are chalk and cheese. £17k difference in spec cost.

WP v non WP, colour, ceramics v steels, almost four times the mileage.

Only bought 2 Porsche in 9 years, both used, so can’t see us getting a build slot unfortunately, had to pay slight overs on GT4 when we bought it & not sure if we want to do the same again for used. If we could get a slot without any strings then would definitely go for it.

Hired from Carvia based in Motorworld Munich for 2 days, if we don’t buy an RS will do similar again, it’s an ideal environment with the Austrian mountains not far away.

I still don’t quite get this narrative being put forward that allocations for the GT4RS are normal because if you phone up a large number of OPC’s it’s simply not happening- you will not get an allocation. Fact.

Again, peeps talking prices down indirectly. If it’s that easy and the RS is so obtainable, why don’t people stop moaning and buy them wink

Thanks Paul for the tip, a great alternative to PEC; I see they have a Spyder too! I may have a quick Euro visit in August.
