Been following this thread for a while after being taken out a run in my neighbours CR - opened my eyes to how competent these cars are.
Anyway, I’ve seen this one, seems reasonably priced although I appreciate the 60k miles is a red flag to most in this thread!
https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...
Anyone know the car, any opinions on the spec or mileage?
ColdoRS - others here will give better guidance about the possible pitfalls of buying a car with that mileage. The price looks pretty keen to me and the colour is great. Purists will criticise the combination of sports seats and PDK, but it depends on what you are after. Mine is much the same spec and I adore it. My first Cayman was bought from Ashgood in 2016, and I found them very easy to deal with. It had a couple of early glitches, and there was never any problem getting them sorted. So I would have no problem buying through Ashgood based on my experience to date. Anyway, I’ve seen this one, seems reasonably priced although I appreciate the 60k miles is a red flag to most in this thread!

There was another car without Pics this morning, £45k at TH Boler. It is not on their website and has now disappeared from Autotrader
This was me! Had tried to do a PX with the previous owner but as soon as I knew it was going SOR jumped on it as spec is very sweet! After a couple of years of M2 I’m finally back in an R!!

Currently have Cup2s on mine but tempted to try PS4S purely due to cost. However im reluctant to relinquish the amazing steering feel and grip provided by Cup2s.
Budflicker, personally i find GY EagleF1s pretty gooey on the sidewalls. So if you like the way your car drives on those, MPS4Ss will be a gamechanger IMO.

That “special” feeling was what I was missing from the 981 Boxster S I tried 2 weeks ago. The R had it though
I know what you mean - the R is a great car. I was lucky enough to try the 981 Cayman, Cayman S and Cayman GTS back to back at the PEC a few years back. Needless to say the GTS was easily the nicest car to drive and the only one I would have seriously entertained. Found myself mentally specing one to be like my R and thought - "what's the point? I already have an R!".Got back in it on the way home and savoured every moment. I loved that car, such a great bit of kit! Took a motorsport Porsche to get me out of it!

I can tell it’s had a lot of love - kudos to you and Joe.
Nice. I spoke to Ashgood about this one before Christmas and it sounded like a sweet car. To be honest, I was surprised it took a bit longer to sell. This is still a niche car where I think few realise what a gem they are. Or that everyone had one eye on the turkey around then. I also suspect it might be the amount of choice available these days. I've spoken to a few people who are looking at this price range and they have all spent an age agonising over their choice.
Good luck with the car. Hope to bump into you with mine one day and it would be interesting to exchange notes.

That one was a specialist sports car hire company's, so the general vibe on it is not that favourable.
I am surprised this is still available.

It's got all the trimmings and mileage that wouldn't out one off driving it.
That's the one that I had seenI am surprised this is still available.

I like it - but not sure if I'd rather have that or the Spyder that Ashgood has?

That red Spyder is the bomb. Looks amazing. Very rare to see a red one. About as good as it gets Spyder wise I'd say. ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

Not CR related but a few weeks ago I rented a Caterham for 4 days up in Scotland. I'd never driven one but had read a lot about them and how "extreme" they were, and to be honest I thought people were just being wimps. Well, turns out they are definitely extreme and you have to be pretty fkin hardcore to run one! Roof off and sunshine = glorious. Anything else was hard work. In the dark, you sit so low that your line of sight is perfectly level with the headlights of oncoming traffic, leaving you blinded by whatever's coming the other way. In the rain, the windscreen steams up (no heater). Need to wipe it down? Well you can't because you're harnessed in. Rear visibility, forget it because the side windows also steam up.
However on the right day it was fantastic (see video below). Lovely zingy engine, lovely gearbox, lovely steering - and of course a proper sense of occasion. A couple of my early morning drives are up there with my best motoring memories. Would definitely recommend the experience to any petrolhead and https://www.7ecosse.com was great to deal with and knows the cars inside out. For anyone heading up there, the A821 (Duke's Pass) is a stunning, quiet, piece of road.

Hi there...new to the forum.
It's me that's put the deposit down at 911V and will be looking at it on Saturday ..it's been serviced at main dealers every two years and has done about 4k miles pa so there don't seem to be any gaps there....though it was a year late on it's latest service at which point it also got Porsche extended warranty.
I've taken on board about it's use as a hire vehicle and have asked for more info.
I'm not new to Porsche ownership: I currently drive a Taycan 4 CT and have had a 996 C4S (which suffered from scored bores - very expensive to fix), Macan GTS, a Cayenne diesel and E-hybrid and a Carrerra 991.2
The R will be the fun car and I intend to have lessons to learn how it should be driven

What would be reasonable though - the seats are worth decent wedge (and the engine I'd imagine)https://www.copart.co.uk/lot/67385561/clean-title-...
