Anyone used one of these to permanently disable start/stop on a 992.1?

No, but looks very interesting. I like the fact (a) the 'box' can be switched off and then all the default behaviours resume, and (b) that it is undetectable during servicing/diagnostics.

I assume it just plugs into the CAN bus and upon starting the car 'replays' the signals that would be required to disable the annoying features or implement the setting of choice.

Along with sports exhaust it’s the first button I press when I start up, it’s just become an auto thing, like putting on my seat belt.

Looks an expensive and unnecessary solution to me.

Just ask your OPC or specialist to connect their laptop and toggle the system the opposite way round. i.e. normally "off" but switches on when you press the button.

Maybe you know differently, but I can’t see it being that straightforward - or legal, for an OPC to do it

Our GR Yaris doesn’t have stop start thank god but like the 992.2 it’s got all those other nanny aids (apart from camera on driver)that are an even bigger pita than stop start and are not a one button to disable

I have mine set-up on the programmable diamond button on the steering wheel - so one push once the ignition is on turns it off for the rest of the journey….

I imagine no OPC is allowed to do that but a specialist Indy might.
On those vehicles we have which has the feature ( which I too dislike ) i just press a button as part of driving away.

OPC turned off both start/stop (toggled the other way) and the unwanted DRLs (permanently off). Whether they will still do it I cannot say.
